Skin Diagnostics
As skin is the largest organ of our body, it is essential to take care of it. Skin diagnosis can identify any skin problems such as acne, cancer, psoriasis, infection and/or any other problems in order to give the most relevant treatment.

Mole Assesment
In our Dermatology Centre we can help check over moles, assess them and offer professional advice of how best to manage or remove those that look suspicious or are causing a nuisance.
The removal of malignant melanoma at an early stage in its development can prevent its spread and cure the condition.

Fungal nail infection (Onychomycosis)
A fungal nail infection affects the hard material (keratin) that makes up the nails. Fungal nail infections can affect part or all of the nail, including the nail plate, nail bed and root of the nail.
The infection develops slowly and causes the nail to become discoloured, thickened and distorted. This infection is most common on toenails but can sometimes affect the fingernails.
We treat this problem by using special Phototherapy wavelengths. Depending on the extent of the problem we can also combine this treatment with antifungal medication.

Cryotherapy
This method of treatment is used in dermatology to treat a variety of benign and malignant skin lesions.
Cryotherapy or cryosurgery is a really safe, minimally invasive and reliable method that uses very low temperature and can be used in order to get rid of moles, warts, unwanted skin and/or destroy precancerous skin lesions such as actinic keratosis or solar keratosis.
It is more suitable for patients with light skin and for treatment of lesions in most non-hair bearing areas of the skin.

STD Diagnosis & Treatments
In our department we can diagnose and offer treatments for several sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) that affect the skin such as warts, herpes, syphilis and cancroid. Furthermore, we can perform cosmetic corrections on some of them.

Plasma energy laser for Blepharoplasty
PlexR®, is a device that forms plasma to sublimate the excess skin. It delivers its energy only on the superficial skin cells, without affecting deeper tissues, thus enables the perfect plasticity of the eyelid movement immediately after the treatment.

The result is immediate reduction of the excess skin on the upper or lower eyelid, as well as the shrinking of the excess skin in the external region around the eye. The benefits are also the improvement of the expression lines at the corner of the eye and the cheekbone (“crow’s feet”).

Electrocautery
Electrocautery uses a needle-like cautery to treat a range of abnormalities on the surface of the skin. It can treat several skin conditions such as hemangiomas, telangiectasia and sebaceous hyperplasia. There is little to no downtime and the patient can resume most daily activities immediately after the treatment, as this method focuses a specific spot on the skin.

Chronic Diseases Treatment
We are aware that living with a chronic skin condition can not only affect your overall health but can also affect your quality of life. Our centre can offer professional medical advice and treatments in order to cure or manage your condition and improve your life.

In addition, in Institute of Medical Rehabilitation we exclusively offer intra-dermal ozone therapy that can benefit people with the previous chronic diseases and people with autoimmune diseases.
